During early evenings of the winter months, the local team will prioritise intelligence gathering and a coordinated approach with neighbouring wards to deter, identify, prevent and discourage youth violence and weapon enabled robberies.

ASB on Seymour Villas and Tovil Close

Status Update

The local team will look to act in partnership with the local authority and other partner agencies to coordinate a multi agency approach with a view to reducing incidents of ASB in public spaces such as Betts Park. This will be done via a mixture of high visibility and plain clothes patrols along with joint visits with partner agencies to persistent offenders.

In the coming weeks the Co-op is set to close and a neighbouring new business ASDA opening, the local team will be working with the new store to ensure that prolific offenders are identified and discouraged from the store by means of information sharing with staff. Officers have also attended and offered crime prevention advice with a view to reducing the amount of offences.
